Road users are being advised that overnight closures on the M25 between Potters Bar and Enfield begin next Monday (May 22).
The resurfacing work involves replacing concrete sections of Britain’s busiest motorway to ensure it continues to provide safe and smooth journeys for drivers.
Work will take place from Monday to Thursday between 10pm and 5.30am, and from 11pm Friday to 6am Sunday. It is expected to be completed by Thursday 20 July. The work will involve a mixture of lane closures, slip road closures, and full motorway closures during that time.
Clearly signed diversion routes will be in place whenever the motorway is closed. When the M25 is closed clockwise between junctions 24 (Potters Bar) and 25 (Enfield), drivers will be diverted to take the A1(M) to junction 4, then the A414 east on Hertford Road, Hatfield Road, Hertingfordbury Way, Gascoyne Way and London Road, then join the A10 southbound to return to the M25 at junction 25.
Drivers heading anti-clockwise between junctions 25 and 24 will follow this diversion route in reverse.
