Police hunt late-night Haringey sex pest

By Adrian Colley in Community News

Police have released a CCTV image of man they want to interview following an allegation of indecent exposure in Haringey.

The offence occurred on a route 41 bus after a27-year-old woman was on her way home from a night out with friends.

The victim was on the lower deck of the bus when the suspect tried to initiate a conversation with her and when she got off the bus in Stanley Road, so did the suspect.

The suspect then grabbed the victim and exposed himself. She managed to free herself and walk away. The offence occurred on October 16 last year at 4.30am.

The suspect is described as white, aged around 25, with short black hair. He informed the victim that his name was ‘Anton’.

Officers from the roads and transport policing command are investigating but no arrests have been made.

Now, having released a CCTV image of the suspect, they are asking anyone who recognises him or has any information to contact Detective Constable Natalie Baynes on 07770 315 690 or via 101.

Alternatively, you can tweet @MetCC with any information.

Police say unwanted sexual behaviour on public transport is not tolerated and all sexually motivated offences are taken very seriously.
