TWO men have been arrested following a fail-to-stop collision in which a cyclist died.
The men, aged 19 and 22, were arrested on Monday (February 6) on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.
Both were bailed pending further enquires to a date in late March.
Anita Szucs suffered fatal injuries when her bike was crushed by a car at 1:45am in Bounces Road, Edmonton, near the junction with Exeter Road, close to her home.
It is believed she was returning home from a late shift at supermarket giant Lidl’s distribution warehouse in Ardra Road, a few streets away when the fatal collision occurred.
Detectives continue to investigate and her next of kin have been informed.
The car which failed to stop at the scene has since been located.
Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit based at Chadwell Heath are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward and speak to them.
